VICTOR stars shine at Chinese Taipei Open!

Not only did Tai Tzu Ying keep the crown at home, but also men’s singles champion Lee Zii Jia, women’s singles runner-up Line Højmark Kjærsfeldt and mixed doubles finalists created their career best records.

With over 10000 fans cheering behind, the Queen Tai Tzu Ying became even more powerful against Line Højmark Kjærsfeldt in the last match. Though struggling a bit in the first game, she took down the Danish 17-21 21-10 21-13 and brought back her seventh titles of the 2018 season.

Line Kjærsfeldt got into semifinals of Spain Masters last month, and she stepped forward to reach her first Super 300 final this time. The fighting spirit and more experiences will definitely help her with more to come.

After the incredible victory over the top seed and World no.4 Chou Tien Chen, the Malaysian star Lee Zii Jia kept up his convincing performance through to men’s singles final. He ended up a memorable week by defeating Riichi Takeshita 21-17 16-21 21-11 to capture his first major tournament champion.

In fact, Lee won Polish International and was nominated BWF Most Promising Player last year. Currently 20 and ranked 60, he did not dare to be complacent with the title and aimed at improving his rankings and entering higher-level events.

As for the mixed doubles final, both pairs are newly team-up this year. Alfian Eko Prasetya and his partner Marsheilla Gischa Islami extinguished the local hope Yang Po-Hsuan/Wu Ti Jung 21-15 21-11. It was also the biggest title for the Indonesians.
