Slovenia International - Meijs wins in Slovenia

The Slovenia International was held from the 11th to 14th May.

Two VICTOR players played in the men's singles competition. Joel König was able to qualify for the 2nd time for the main draw. But the Swiss surviving various tough matches within previous days and less time for the full recovery could not succeed further. Next to his qualification matches he could win the NLA-team championships with his team. In the main draw of this tournament he lost in two games to the Finnish Illka Heino.

The 2nd VICTOR player Erik Meijs started the tournament full of energy and played  his badminton  really well. He could win the semi final against Illka Heino with 32-21 21-19 and reached the final. His final opponent was the qualifier Ida Pratama  leaving  some really hard match  behind heading towards the  final. The Indonesian fought till the end in the final but Erik Meijs was the better player and won with 21-14 14-21 21-17 to get the title in the men's singles.

In the competition men's doubles Bjarne Geiss played with his partner Johannes Pistorius. They played against the Danish Jeppe Bay and Rasmus Kjaer and unfortunately lost with 18-21 16-21, but are happy with their 3rd place. Geiss recently changed his racket and his last results  demonstrate undoubtfully that the VICTOR Jetspeed 12  is  the right choice!

The fully equipped VICTOR player Geiss also played in the mixed doubles with Emma Moszczynski. They had two very close preliminary matches and dropped out in the quarter final against the Belgien Freek Golinski and Lisa Jaques.

We congratulate our players to the great results!
