Singapore Open - Tai Tzu Ying with new record!

The Super Series tournament "OUE Singapore Open" was held in Singapore from the 11th to 16th April.

Just a short time after the big success at the Malaysia Open, Tai Tzu Ying tried to  generate  a new sensation. The fully equipped  VICTOR player  challenged again a dream final against Carolina Marin.  Prior to this the Spanish could win the semi final against the VICTOR player Sung Ji Hyun with 21-9 21-12 and was ready for the revenge for the past loss  of the final. But Tai Tzu Ying had other ideas and won the final with 21-15 21-15 for her 5th Super Series title in a row. No other women's singles player has won 5 Super Series titles in a row. Next to this success, she has an unbeaten record in 2017 with 15 of 15 wins and did not drop any set during the last week! The current performance of Tai Tzu Ying is impressive and we are looking forward to further great results.

The Korean Lee Dong Keun could reach the semi final in the men's singles competition. He played against the Indian Sai Praneeth B. for a place in the final. But the VICTOR player Lee Dong Keun did not find his line and lost with 6-21 8-21. It was his best Super Series result so far.

There  were two other Korean doubles in the semi finals in the competition women's doubles. Jung Kyun Eun and Shin Seung Chan played  against the top seeded Japanese Misaki Matsutomo and Ayaka Tkahashi and lost with 17-21 17-21.

Chang Ye Na and Lee So Hee  played for a place in the final. They could not take their chances and lost with 26-28 11-21 to the Danish Kamilla Rytter Juhl and Christinna Pedersen.

The 5th semi final for Korea was played by Kim Gi Jung and Shin Seung Chang in the mixed doubles. However they were also stopped in the semi final and lost with 21-16 17-21 12-21 to the Chinese Lu Kai and Huang Yaqiong.

Kian Meng Tan and Pei Jing Lai, both fully equipped by VICTOR, played the semi final in the mixed doubles competition. They lost in tight 3 games with 21-18 11-21 14-21 to the Thai team with Dechapol Puaravanukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai.

We congratulate all our players to these great results!
