German Open 2017
From 28 February to 5 March this year the impressive "German Open" took place in Mühlheim an der Ruhr.
Many of the top-stars compete at one of the most important tournaments of the badminton scene every year.
One player took the attention on himself with a spectacular win.
Tzu Wei Wang from Taiwan was seeded on position 14 in the strong men's singles competition and went step by step to the top.
He managed a big surprise in the semi final with his win over the Chinese star Chen Long with 21-18 8-21 21-18. Wang is fully equipped by VICTOR and was surprisingly in the final of the "Grand Prix Gold"-tournament. He played a very tough final but in the end lost to his countryman Chou Tien Chen with 16-21 14-21.
In the competition mixed doubles two other VICTOR players took a place on the podium. Kian Meng Tan and Pai Jing Lai reached the semi final where they were stopped from the top seeded Chinese players Lu Kai and Huang Yaqiong. They lost with 21-16 16-21 17-21 and won a very good bronze medal.
